  Disappointing. Academia is supposed to be THE place to flesh out a wide range of ideas, and have productive philosophical discussions. And here we are with the thought police, cancelling people for wrong-think, or coercing compliance. So disappointing.

  Imo, much conflict could be avoided if there were just more precise words. E.g, "racism" can refer to very different concepts. Better to debate the ideas then get caught up in semantics.   Sad as it is I believe the process needs to be accelerated. The faster it breaks the faster you might be able to put it back together no I don't think you can save it at this point.
