Hi Doc, what is the current status of Big Five? Is it now the Gold Standard? Has it totally replaced other similar models like MBTI?

MBTI has been widely debunked as nonsense along with Enneagrams and Astrology. The Big Five has a bit of debate, but most of it is an attempt to add another factor resulting in the HEXACO model.

Personality informs it. Imagine having an invisible hand that's gently tugging at your left sleeve. You can choose to walk on whichever side of the road you want, but I'd bet you'd end up walking on the left side more often than not.

From personal experience, I think working in a STEM field (mechanical engineering) made me less “nice”. Or at least more comfortable with confrontation. It’s necessary to get the job done.

I graduated from Mechanical Engineering, Im 25th percentile on consciousness... I felt like I did work hard to graduate so when I got the results I thought it was wrong. I realized I just had more fear of failing (high neruo) and I prcoasinated waaay more than I worked.
