        The plight of the adjunct and contract faculty will become standard to almost *all* currently existing faculty in the humanities: a few superstars in their fields as full profs in elite schools with the rest being simply TAs as the courses are farmed out online contractually.

        Future state is easy to understand...the real difficult questions are going to come down to a generation of people who felt they’d been lied to regarding the necessity of a college education and how to treat those costs incurred.
