I'm a forensic psychologist who also does some clinical work on an acute state psychiatric unit. The influx in admissions we've had resultant of this very phenomenon (in conjunction with other factors) has been astounding and terrifying.

Actually have very good international pals on discord who have lead to very productive book discussions art exchanges. I am way less isolated or paranoid because of these guys. We have weekly discord bar sessions so we look each other in the eye keeps us in check... We also
