Tribalism and transnationalism are compatible identities. This is one reason why corporations embrace wokeism: in order to weaken affinities for the nation state. The nation state is the locus of democracy. Its superordinate identity is necessary for a liberal society.

The corporate ideal is "frictionless" capital and labour, where state boundaries are trivialized by "policy harmonization." This regime of "stakeholder capitalism" preferx governance via revokable licenses and contracts (terms of service, etc) not by national legislatures.

Humans have transcended from identity in favour of offence: likes, handouts, jealousy and a lack of work ethic. When these themes fall on deaf ears, identity becomes a hot topic in the name of victimhood!
