That is a truism if they report a murder 600 times the viewer maybe kept to believe that this has continuously occured allowing for brainwashing and indoctrination.

Well, reporting that "everything is fine" wouldn't be very economically lucrative for the media. Who would watch that, honestly? The bigger problem i think is media incentivised to go down the path of most profit that disturbs the truth, showing people what they want to see.
