I don’t think meaning and purpose come from suffering. Plenty of people suffer without getting meaning from it. I think suffering comes from life, and meaning/purpose make the suffering worth it. I completely agree that worthwhile things take effort.

Dr Peterson, I’ve watched/listened to many of your lectures that discussed the archetypical hero and to extents the villain. Have you discussed much about the anti-hero and vigilante? I’m curious about why such character types are so often popular.
