If I have this correct, then the 'old' working class abandoned the left. This class had many identity groups, so now it is reasonable to assume that some sections of the identity groups the left relies on for support may also leave them? Seems to be a big worry?

I assume it’s an ironic comparison to the “rightwing” blue-collar worker votes and the increased latino/black/lgbt communitys’ votes that the left-wing media and politicians claim. He consistently calls the media out when examples arise. Media says tribalism > individual merit
