He claims that I am pleased about the recent PRH Canada controversy, because it sells books. But it is simply not enjoyable to be at the center of something like that. Look at what happens to people when they are attacked: they apologize immediately, because of the stress.

I think that is true. Lots of writers and people in similar fields of psychology dream of being famous and influential. Jordan never did...that is obvious and one reason he is.
