If we are already doing "self-authoring" course will this provide significantly different/useful insight? Self authoring is taking quite a long time, not that I mind, but it is not a trivial undertaking.

I think taking the personality test could provide a lot of insight in addition to his lectures on personality traits on YouTube. Self-authoring is way more reflective, while learning about Big5 is really helpful in a more social/societal/interactive sense.
