Hi Jordan, I have a bit of a gripe with being precise. Leaving a bit of ambiguity with poetic expressions have more meaning and achieves a better connection with listeners than stressing over the details over what you believe. Words, will always come short of a true experience.

Depending on context, both precise, literal-analytical and vague, metaphorical-poetic language can be useful. You wanna know when to use which, I'd say, and develop the ability to switch from one to the other as needed when describing something. Double description (Bateson).

Imprecise language where it should be precise creates unneccesary confusion in many parts of "theoretical" SocSci. Western civilization's core abstractions rests on are LEGAL ones and come from private law, which to treat all subjects the same way ... 2/
