WTF, charges include “informing or attempting to inform” a person on abortion issues and of “performing or attempting to perform an act of disapproval”. How Orwellian is that.

But he has free speech. And expression. Just not within the very small bubble zone. Which is small to protect free expression rights and there to protect citizens acting legally yet sometimes harrassed intimidated threatened. Balance, compromise seems fair. And democratic.

Except such zones aren't afforded to the otherside of the isle. Except that it is a public space, not in or directly outside the door to the clinic. Expect he had nothing mentioning abortion. Then again, Canada doesn't have actual free speech.

Excellent. Free speech is crucial. It outweighs hurt feelings. I think we don't need to hound individuals as undertaking a very difficult time in their lives. But a non-violent demonstration with non-threatening language shouldn't be something you are arrested for. That's crazy.

Also, abortion shouldn't be a go to contraceptive. It's a very difficult surgical procedure and can have lasting consequences if performed incorrectly. It really should be a last resort kind of deal. We really need to start using are noodle here. Times up means so much more.
