foucault does not define truth as “what is,” defined in the article as Truth1. he thinks truth is a ‘regimen’ used by the people in power to justify punishment. he’s not making a statement about “what is.” he’s making a statement about social control

Honest question: do you think there's a possibiilty that Foucault wrote and said all his stuff without taking anything about himself very seriously, just rattling off ideas? I'm reading "Histoire de la folie" and a few of his ideas are interesting. Is he really worth loathing?
