I Absolutely love this story. It’s the story of faith and redemption. This is the parallel to God’s sacrifice of His only Son, Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary for the sin of the whole world.

Mount Moriah means, “God will provide” Just as God provided the lamb for Abraham, God provided His Son Jesus (the lamb) for us.

The sacrifice of Isaac was symbolic of Jesus. Sacrificial son. Abel offered of the firstlings of his flock, another sign of Jesus. Which is why his offering was respected and cains was not
