Just keep the hierarchies from being corrupted. The system doesn’t need to change

Rich people all over were just caught again being corrupt as all hell again by buying their kids way into the best schools and reinforcing our oligarchy. This is why I am voting and campaigning for Bernie. Everything is nepotism. Dynasty politics dynasty money dynasty education

Democracy is tyrannical. Republics are fair. It's no surprise this scandal occurred. It was inevitable.
-
What are you talking about? This is corrupt capitalism (so basically just capitalism) where rich parents bought their kids way into the best schools. Has nothing to do with democracy or a republic. Has to do with the corruption inherent in having big money and the power with it.

I teach SAT prep and students average an 8-10 question improvement on the writing and language portion alone. Prep does help. Unfortunately, many can’t afford it.
-
I agree, it helps a lot. I have seen it and yes it is very expensive

Whatever it is I believe in standards. Can things be made better or “fairer”? Of course, but I dont trust people who constantly challenge the idea of standards. I think they are trying to pull the rug from under excellence because it eludes them.

Test prep does help. Prep Books are about 20-30 dollars courses 1000-3000. College is about 80,000-125,000. The problem has more to do with knowledge about the system. First gen families don’t know the landscape of how to advance. Legacies have institutional knowledge.
