We can't stop attending church, that's a mortal sin and we'd be in big trouble. :) A lot of people have stopped *contributing* to their dioceses and parishes....

Does it bother you that it's a mortal sin to not attend mass and partake of the LotW w/ a priest who the Church would not remove for through 7 years of abuse?

Perhaps it's time that for believing Catholics to understand that Catholicism has, at times had very little to do with Christ, and true Christianity as recorded in the New Testament book of Acts. Perhaps it's time for them to remember that the scriptures describe...

I love you Dr. P but that’s not how it works. “Going on strike” is choosing to miss out on worship of God to protest the leadership of Gods church. Let’s not throw out the Baby with the holy water.

But God is everywhere, not just within the confines of a particular building on a particular day. We can worship just as effectively anywhere at any time.
