You should start going to more podcasts and interact with people who would take more of an effort to talk about your work. There's no point giving time to this media people, unless your intention is to expose them. Then please do continue!

I think that might be his aim. By going on all these morning shows where he is relentlessly attacked and belittled by people that no nothing of his work except 5 minute youtube clips as long as he doesn't bite back (which occasionally happens)it just makes him more appealing.

Thomas Kuhn talks discusses scientific revolutions being slowed down by the dinosaurs in charge of old schools. They needed to die off before new paradigms took over in academics. Seems like same thing applies to old media and it's devotees.
