  I have a friend who was a teachers aid in the public schools. She quit it. As it just become to dangerous. Another teacher I had retired as she become nothing more then a paper pusher. Then another friend quit as a bilingual teacher she got tired of all the politics from parents.

  My wife is a PS teacher, so I have lots of second-hand exposure to this. I can confirm the general tone of the article. "Good" school/teacher v "Bad" school/teacher is largely a myth. The students have been allowed to take over, and there is next to no discipline.

  the issue starts w/ parents as when i was in school my parents [immigrants] always believed the teacher ahead of me so notes from teacher to parents were to be avoided hence discipline
