John Finnis is stuck in a conceptual world and thus should probably not be teaching. A requisite for teaching should be an open mind, imo. Catholicism shouldn't be a part of university life- leave that in the seminary. Just as we need a separation between church and state.

And, it is disgusting how academia has become mob-like. It creates a really hostile feeling and certainly scares off plenty of people who are too smart to want to make a career within a hyper-politically correct environment. Too many departments are outright petty these days.

I first noticed this 3 years ago when trump announced his candidacy. I watched his announcement live. Then saw the coverage. During the election, people would only listen to 4 seconds of a 10 second sound bite of a 2 minute speech. It's gotten worse.
