I hate how pretty girls always get given jobs working in bars, restaurants etc over more competent men just because of their looks. So many cases where women have it easier but none are ever mentioned.

One piece of a larger phenomena. Love to hear what you think is behind the replication crisis that has afflicted social science in general? If more than half fail, there must be a fundamental problem, and from what I read, an attempt to replicate 100 studies saw 60% failure.

I suspect it's a combination of the correlation/causation fallacy (grit) and small n problem (publication bias). The problem isn't with the science, it's the in vivo interpretation of it by professors, PR firms and media.
