If you're just catching on now, I'm here to tell you it's way too late to do much about it. We favored advancement over security, in a digital/hardware perspective, at every turn, so now that instinctive machine has to be used in reverse to favor security over privacy.

We should recognize this is Cook sticking a knife in the back of Google and Facebook when Apple profits are down. Which does NOT mean what he is saying is not true, it is very true, or that we don't need to take anti-trust action against privacy pirates Facebook and Google.
