My Opinion... what Peterson doesn’t get: Taleb has Gut Instinct that Peterson (might be) a FRAUD. This trumps all other concerns for Taleb. @nntaleb is a honorable street fighter (my kind of man!) When I tweeted that Taleb would NEVER be represented by CAA he “liked” it. Gabish?

I am offering mere opinion. And I’m 99% wrong in life... so, I am willing to be wrong here. I offer an opinion purely because I don’t think most people understand why @nntaleb is so Aggro. It’s a matter of Principle for him. And principled men behave in ways homme moyen find odd.

I think @nntaleb is one of the greatest thinkers of our time,big fan,however, his temper and social skills are terrible. I agree with his destain for fake intellectuals, but they’re not the ones he keeps insulting, he attacks people that are closer to his ideas that he may think.

I get it. I’m in danger of his friendly fire each time i even come near him. Lol. But, one must understand the mindset: to Taleb this is WAR. He’s not playing around, trying to sell books or be popular. He believes frauds are harming the world. My social skills also suck BTW ;)

It’s a wrong way of looking at a conflict and the wrong way of resolving it. Nobody’s mind has ever been changed by calling them an idiot. Frauds are exposed by arguments not insults.

If I hadn’t stumbled by Antifragile and only seen his tweets I would have never been interested in his ideas. Reading skin in the game now, I love it. Social skills don’t correlate with IQ, so you’re good :p

And each man has their personal style. Some of us are rough. Some refined. Each has their place in evolution. Imagine a world of all deer and no wolves. A world of all @SamHarrisOrg and no @nntaleb That’s a monoculture. No, I want wolves and Taleb. ;)

We can definitely agree on that. However, we want ideas we like to spread as much as possible, @nntaleb style is less likely to do so. @sapinker style is really good and effective even though he going against the zeitgeist.
