If you are actually concerned about that... Peterson is working on an alternative that cannot be destroyed by patreon in collusion with paypal and others... give them a bit of time.

Patreon is working in collusion with other companies like paypal to destroy any competition not through better service or legitimate competition but by attacking what is is effectively their banking arrangments. They act more like a socialist government than a private company.
