This right here
"Why should universities get public funding if they can’t produce literate graduates or high-impact research?" -
To prevent catastrophic loss of potentially useful, highly-developed cultural functions, public funding should continue indefinitely. Universities are cultural power repositories. Losing public support for the universities would starve a valuable legacy with unmined potential.

Ontario’s universities discriminate against kids who can’t read good and want to learn to do other stuff good too.

You're right, though it shouldn't be the case. Most people won't make use of their university degrees. Everyone's pushed towards getting one, even though it won't help them. That's why unis have adapted to let any idiot get a degree, leaving those who could use it out to dry.

Hi Dr Peterson followers. I was hoping for some help. Dr P once mentioned that concern for the environment arose in countries once the GDP per capita reached a certain level. I was wondering if anyone has a reference for this as I would like to reference it myself. Thanks.
-
He also referenced it in the British GQ interview.
