That first sentence or two really cuts straight to the heart of it. Men make more because women demand that of them, while women tend to spend more time on their looks because that's what men demand from them.

Add to it that if they then have kids, the career that earns more will be a priority of both often at the expense of the other career

@DegenRolf have women actually reached income equality in all these 36 countries?! I suspect not. -
Im sure its illegal to pay women less than men in these countries. After that it becomes women themselves being mostly accountable for the differences and should no longer be simply labeled inequality
