Debates about income inequality, “the top 1%,” and poverty typically examine those issues within the context of a single country, but if you make more than $32,400 per year, you are in the top 1% of the richest people in the world. http://j.mp/2pLzzRX  pic.twitter.com/9wUXow4Gat

What is "rich"? The amount of US dollars someone makes is almost completely irrelevant, as it ignores purchasing parity. Food is 4x less expensive in Eastern Europe than Western Europe, for example. @CatoInstitute

Irrelevant..... All that does is make the "1%" that's commonly referred to, the "0.1%" Poverty stricken countries and wealth distribution in the biggest economies are two different beasts.

This is very misleading. $32,000 in Bangladesh is not the same as $32,000 in the U.S.

The Koch brothers force Peterson to put this propaganda out in an attempt to stave off the inevitable rise of socialism. They think that people will like capitalism more if they think they are rich so they tell anyone with 20 bucks that they are the 1%. It's so transparent.
