It doesn't work because it's difficult to override peoples' inductive faculties. Your pushback against this misses the critical element, that so-called 'prejudice' is often rooted in truth, in facts about differences between groups.

at the end of mandatory diversity training, trainer asked me (I guess bc I'm Oriental), "and what did you take away from this class?" I blurted "Uh, that white people are bad, and black people are good?".. the spit-takes and LOLs in that room! they never did that training again
