That one is a little bit heavy for most 'westerners', don't you think? Y'know,
@aunty_evology once took a course in#Russian literature at university. It was a nice course, prof was Polish. No Golden Age, mainly Silver Age works. Later I learned not#Alyosha, but#Ivan is a fool.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

With Jordan's justified fixation on Russian Literature, I sometimes wonder how acquainted he is with Soviet/Russian Cinema. I'd love to see him anatomize Come and See or a Tarkovsky.

It seems that you're showing so much interest in Russian classic literature because its focus is on the pain and suffering that life in Russia dictates. It resonates with your view of the world, providing a deep philosophical meaning to what life is about in your opinion.
-
And it's easy to fall in the Russian tough life world, because foundational philosophy is brought to the surface via the misery of life conditions there. But be warned: although sometimes profound, it can often derail in propaganda and self indulgence. I don't read it- I live it.

They need a miniseries. This is just enough time for the Grand Inquisitor story alone!
