The Boomers really really really hated their parents, and created a counter culture of extreme radical disassociation. Granted, they might have had abusive parents here and there, all the more narcissistic for "being the Winnners" of WW2. That rebellion was exploited by Commies.

I'm trying to see a few layers deep into this bizarre behavior, attacking and blaming every traditional norm. Various conspiracy theories seem to fit the pattern, may or may not be true, but I hesitate to jump on that bandwagon.

We don't need conspiracy theories to explain it; the underlying narrative is that colonial/white/Judeo-Christian values were historically used to justify mistreatment/oppression, so the "logical" conclusion is that these values inherently facilitate oppression & must be rejected.
