    ugh. Thanks for continuing to follow and report on the proposed move of City Hall to the Municipal Auditorium. What a mess.

    “If City Hall is off the table, it’s off the table,” Cantrell said Tuesday. “Then you have 90 days to identify another use” for the building. “You’ll find the money; you’ll be able to figure out how it’ll be operational; you’ll figure out how to maintain it.”

    The For the People Act challenges the voter suppression tactics white conservatives have used at the state & local level to maintain white power since the end of slavery. Republicans oppose it for precisely that reason. (thread)

    if you have kids 12+ you want to get vaccinated, they're scheduling now on Elysian Fields and they are the best!
