    Some decisions are hard and require a lot of time to process. But sometimes you just know you are right even though others disagree. When in doubt founders must learn to trust their gut and do so quickly - I think we can all overthink things when the decisions seem unpopular

    A founder asked me to explain how startups are valued by the market. He felt a little shy about asking and said it was a stupid question. It is not. If you want to know why an investor thinks your company is worth X, just ask. The answers are subjective and you deserve to know

    Many founders have been coached to say “not interested” when a company wants to acquire you. Having seen all sides of M&A, I think this advice is largely misapplied. If you are interested, try saying “yes, let’s talk”. Too many apply gamesmanship before the game has even started
