You ask, but airlines do it? Yes, Spirit & Frontier (et al.) have made flying massively more accessible. I can promise you less desirable seating won't be less costly, it'll be the same price as before and the better seats will have a premium.

Going to the movies is about timing and anticipation. You go to the movies because you cannot wait to see something. There are so many options and queues of new movies and shows waiting to be watched. Just waiting until it’s streaming is plenty reason enough to stay home.

It works for the airlines because you travel from A to B. You can’t do that in your living room. Some very clever MBA came up with this and forgot that people have affordable 75 inch TVs in their homes and streaming on every device.

You can just imagine the meeting where this was presented? “I think we just need to give people one more reason to not go to a movie theater.”

N297FE appears to have had the system installed. I would love to know if it was recording during the approach into Austin.

(1/2) FedEx’s utilization of the Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS)—an incorporation of FLIR technology into the head-up display (HUD)—on their Boeing 767s likely played a role in preventing the near-miss incident during the low-visibility conditions in Austin Saturday morning.

This is the second major runway incursion incident in a little over two weeks. The entire U.S. air traffic system is throwing off serious warning signs of being exceedingly fragile, understaffed (ATC & airlines) and over capacity as demand continues to surge.

Funny how many people thought this was totally a joke. An inflight internet company exec once told me the biggest future challenge to delivering stable Wi-Fi on a plane isn’t streaming 8K video, it’s the UPLOAD usage from the amount of data coming OFF your phone from TikTok.

The Administration has taken decisive action against the Chinese balloon. China’s spying is ill-timed, inexcusable, and incompetent. Sec. Blinken was right to scrap a diplomatic summit until China comes clean. This will be a major focus of our Foreign Relations hearing this week.

The military jets using the call sign “FRANK” is significant. Frank Luke Jr. was an American fighter ace in World War I better known as the “Arizona Balloon Buster.” He is credited with shooting down 14 German surveillance balloons en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Luke
