    My wife and I had a conversation about how to talk about what is going on in America with people in Japan--Because Japanese news is doing a terrible job-- our conclusion: It's really hard. Part of the problem is Japanese TV generally treating every black person as comedy.

    Asked a young Mum in the gym today if she was speaking Polish to her young daughter. Her immediate reaction was a look of fear, I explained I was asking because my little granddaughter is bilingual speaking Polish & English, we had a nice little chat. Who the hell are we, so sad.
