Of course! A DISTRIBUTOR ROAD! Never mind tackling these ridiculously short urban journeys by offering people better, more sustainable alternatives. Instead, lets spaff £millions of public money on more tarmac. Well done @LincsCC_roads

Here in Lincolnshire, the argument against investing in sustainable transport is "oh, but we're a rural county, people need to drive". Yet here's an example of people driving laughably short distances within an urban area, and we STILL somehow think the solution is more roads.

Started 40-odd years ago when they built John Adams Way, scything the town in two. I know Boston fairly well and have been visiting for years. My grandmother walked everywhere. It should be easy for people to access the centre on foot/bike from 99% of the town.

Ah Boston, flat as a pancake. what’s the figures on obesity locally? Easy place to cycle across were it not for a hostile road environment and lack of insight by district and county councillors.

Do
@LincolnshireCC get the Trump award for ignoring#ClimateCrisis and failing to tackle congestion, obesity, and pollution at the same time? Backward thinking. They'll be judged by history (whatever we have left).Bedankt, Twitter gebruikt dit om je tijdlijn te verbeteren. Ongedaan makenOngedaan maken

I vote for trebuchets. Fling motor vehicles out of the 7 square miles at random.

It’s my home town, hardly anyone cycles into Boston. I never cycled into town when I lived there. The main route in is either the A16 or an equally dangerous B road. Neither have any cycling infrastructure as I recall. Now I live elsewhere I cycle everyday.
@LincolnshireCC -
Isn't it one of the flattest places in the UK?!
