Sadly today’s reaction to the #SewellReport reflects the fact that too many people are only interested in having a conversation on an issue if that conversation ends with everyone agreeing with their starting point.
There is no one starting point. It’s about collating people’s experiences along with data to assess where problems lie and how to tackle them. The report is likely imperfect but my issue is the way some dismiss it entirely as a stitch up because it doesn’t reflect their opinions.

I don't think we need a report to tell us that systemic racism exists. The fact that there is gaslighting over the fact that institutional racism exists is seriously problematic.Conversations should start from poc's lived experiences not an idealised version of a Britain we want.
