Amazing how much more your life makes sense when the clip of Mariah Carey drunkenly yelling “I’ll do the best I can with what I got” plays on endless loop in your mind

We’re so back….the last time people were accusing pop stars of being Illuminati the songs were quite simply the best they’d ever been….

I recommend having a grandmother who is a local legend and knows every single Greek, Italian, Serbian, Iranian woman in her neighbourhood because they will all call their relatives to offer you a place to stay overseas based on a single passing conversation

Getting dizzy/vague depersonalisation effects just from anxiety in your 30s is so embarrassing, a more serious diagnosis would be preferable, however I do get to identity with sickly divas in Brönte novels who experience unexplained symptoms like “tremors” or “malaise”

This is just one of the many ways the AASW reinforces the kind of inequality it claims to oppose - previously incarcerated people, for example, are currently prohibited from qualification. Social workers with liberatory values should reconsider approval from such an organisation.

Unpaid placements are a massive labour exploitation story hiding in plain sight. The official social work association (AASW) going on and on about social justice/equality while maintaining this impossible standard (1000 hours!!) in a cost of living crisis is raw hypocrisy

People assume that the opposite of scarcity is abundance, when actually it’s satiety. Giving “enough” as opposed to doing the most. A little detail can be just as beautiful as throwing 5 different outfits over the top of each other to make an impression… happy fashion week?

Being a landlord in this climate seems dreamy…having basically every major institution and politician back you or be you, protected on every front by random lobbyists, existing as a protected class at the centre of the universe without having to lift a finger…how luxe!
