Hear hear! Not just boy racers though. Now
@Hutchesons is back, Fotheringay Road has descended into wacky races with children being dropped off. I hoped#Covid_19 &#lockdown would encourage more active travel but clearly not. Good that@GlasgowCC are traffic calming at last

Cllr Jon Molyneux @jonmolyneuxSGPThis is really welcome timing. I've heard lots this week from concerned parents and carers about difficulties distancing outside local schools. Safer school streets - including traffic reduction measures - are needed urgently.#SpacesForPeople#StreetSpaceforGlasgow@Poll_Trust https://twitter.com/GlasgowCC/status/1296836977908764672 …1 antwoord 0 retweets 3 vind-ik-leuks -

Yes, that could indeed be good news. I was depressed to see the lack of initiative taken with the resurfacing of Darnley Road recently.
#Pollokshields’s roads are so broad they can readily accommodate cycle paths so why not embrace it rather than speeding vehicles...

That point has been made and I've not given up on a safe route going that way from the SWCW to Shawlands, and then onto Pollok Park.
