I’m pretty sure I’ve been cutting about for the last couple of months with a broken wrist. Seen a GP who wasn’t fussed, is there any point in going to minor injuries?

Got no advice, but watching for replies that I can adapt for my sore hip, iffy ankle and achy kneecap. So clumsy, but with so little time to fix myself. Good luck with your wrist!

Cheers Alison - have you had your gait analysed? When I was training for the 10k a few years ago I had similar trouble and I went to the running shop on Bothwell St, they made me run on a machine then told me what kind of shoes to get to support my posture better. Worth a go?

That might be useful. I do know what I did: “bobbing” at work, and falling down some hard stairs twisting ankle and landing on knee.

Oh nooooo, that sounds really sore. Hope you feel better soon, until then I think you’re justified in being extra kind to yourself - lots of hot baths with a restorative glass of wine.

Well - if I wasn’t wildly conscious of my hypocritical advice here, I would suggest that taking care of yourself isn’t a bolt-on to your schedule and I’d wag my finger wildly in your direction

Self-refer to physio at the Viccy (and other places). They’ll give you leaflets with strengthening exercises that another medical practitioner should have given you months ago. Still helps though, in my experience.
