      Jon Masters Retweeted Intel Security

We also need to stop the practice of having "hardware people" and "software people" and just all be computer people together on a common set of goals that include improving computer security. I hope that @window can help bridge the gap and then remove the gap between hw/sw folkshttps://twitter.com/IntelSecurity/status/1035312481705574401 …

The same goes for the the @linuxfoundation @jzemlin - even now there is press in which some of the usual community suspects talk about "what the hardware people did" without at the same time recognizing that a divide exists between the two. We ought to be co-designing platforms

Again, I hope @window can make this part of her mission at @intel - we need to get the Open Source community to also embrace that there can never again be a "well, those hardware people did..." type sentence uttered without immediately responding with how this will changed

We in the software community owe it to ourselves to have enough self respect to understand how the hardware works underneath. If we can't be bothered to do that, we should never touch it again.

Certainly I take it upon myself to help drive this agenda of collaboration between hw/sw folks from within @RedHat - it's why I have personally been physically present for the bringup of over a half dozen new server uarches A0 silicon so far
