It is. The 2nd was coming to an end but Johnson reopened the floodgates for Xmas.

It's a depressing thought. By the summer most over-50s, plus clinically vulnerable & health & social care workers will have been vaccinated. Presumably many under-50s too. If we get another wave, what does that mean for the vaccines? That they don't work?

A smaller percentage of under 60s will die or require hospitalisation. But if infections really take off in younger folk who think it's just flu, right? Hospitalisations and Long Covid will slowly rise and rise. Let's not think about new mutations. The Brazilian one alone.... 1
