    My latest for is on the increasing stigma against any kind of disagreement in progressive academic, publishing, and political silos. The idea that debate inflicts actual trauma can't be dismissed as an ideological tic. It now more closely resembles a genuine neurosis

    By the way, the clue that McKenna got this one right is that she then did much backpedalling amid abuse from her woke followers... those true believers will forgive her 100 times over for making fashionable mistakes, but never for telling an unfashionable truth

    She's absolutely right (And it would be nice if Cdn progressives took stock of this fact all the time, not just when they're expressing thanks for not being American) U.S. is a screwed up place bcuz race is weaponized on all sides. It's a terrible habit with deadly consequences

    Reading the news today, I'm feeling very fortunate to live in Canada - a diverse and tolerant country that values freedom while respecting human rights. We aren't perfect and building our country is an ongoing project but I wouldn't choose anywhere else. ❤️🇨🇦

    Also, I loved that rooting for this team was a great bonding experience for me and my middle daughter, who became a sports nut (as both player & fan) in large part bcuz of the Leafs. We had great times watching hockey this year, & so I don't really care about curses or whatever

    hate to see the Leafs lose, but that wasn't any kind of choke or embarrassment. Could have gone either way against a Stanley cup winning team stacked with vets who've been here before and a goalie who always seem to crush it in this kind of situation. And it was a good game

    Thank you for reporting this very concerning misappropriation of revolutionary language, comrade. An ideology-affirmation team has been dispatched.

    My university is increasingly mentioning “diversity of ideas” in its descriptions of diversity. This is catering to the right. But I expect to see, right away, anti-capitalist scholars in economics & business, anti-imperialist classes in IR and poli sci, etc.
