If ideology is our religion, then Facebook is Sunday church, & Twitter is the Inquisition. Facebook builds congregations, & Twitter polices them. Like all true inquisitors, Twitter doesn't care about the *bulk* of your views: It's about teasing out minor heresies & punishing them

Parents! If you have twins, at least one of them should be encouraged to transition. Not only will this foster a more trans-inclusive home environment, it’ll be much easier to tell them apart.

Indeed, protesters shouldn’t disrupt public lectures like this—allowing them to exercise a heckler’s veto would be awful

To think of the worst of Social Justice scholarship & activism as "overreach" is a mistake. The problem isn't that they're doing good things but too much. The problem is with the fundamental methods & ethics.

Yet another 1960s-flashback column from the , which claims that is "pushing booze on the province." My stars, could pin-up girls and jazz music be far behind ? via

Facebook just reminded of this 2009 editorial board photo with and Paul Russell. I'm trying to figure out what exactly I was doing with my pose. It's like I thought we were on a softball team

I spend my lazy Saturdays reporting random white people for hate crimes. White supremacist hate crimes are so rampant that I’m sure at least some of them have done something worth investigating.

A few years ago, I applied for a job at Tim Hortons, in hopes of doing a story on the company (like I once did with Uber). But i never got called back. (Not a career *high point*). But now i'm on their mailing list. It's a window into the labour shortage in many areas of Canada

It’s possibly because they’re/ we’re at the sharp end, so to speak. There’s nothing like seeing a bunch of otherwise unannounced male-bodied people in your lesbian dating app/ magazine/ website etc. to make you realise what’s what.

There is something rather soul destroying in turning up to a lesbian dating group (after months building up to courage to go) to be stuck in the corner with someone who is not a lesbian. To find oneself being called a bigot for having a problem with this is also rather unhelpful

Toronto, the Victorian city that once freaked out because a music act was named the "Barenaked Ladies," has become the Victorian city that freaks out because a music act mentions a whacked-out mayoral candidate who got 2.5% of the vote.
