    (this is of course a bit misleading -- West Virginia was created by an occupying army and so the white supremacists there were on the side of the union only under duress. Once the civil war ended, most of West Virginia was free to be white supremacists again.)

    I think of stuff like this all the time.

    Think of the imprudence when school districts source thousands of Ipads without extracting a guarantee that they can sideload apps. That failure exposes the whole system to risk in the event that Apple capriciously decides to remove an app that these classrooms depend on. 9/
