Elmendorf bundled for Obama.
Right, I’m with ya. I want Jon to answer for this double-standard
Maybe he has an explanation but sure sounds the same to me. You out there, @jonfavs ?
Hi. Steve did not bundle for Obama, and the story you sent doesn’t say that he did. He bundled for Kerry and Clinton. We didn’t take contributions from federal lobbyists. Period.
My bad. It says "Buttigieg's increasingly popular presidential run has drawn the support of more than two dozen top Democratic fundraisers, including people who bundled big-dollar donations for Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton." How do bundlers differ? Thx for responding.
No problem. Bundlers are just people who raise and collect a number of different donations on behalf of a candidate.
As long as he’s disclosing, really it seems fine to me. It would be nice if he didn’t at all, but not all lobbyists are shitty. And the big donor here appears to be a big supporter of LGBTQ since he is also gay, which is likely why he’s giving him money.pic.twitter.com/cuaETbw54T
I think it’s fine to be skeptical of this, but it’s not like he’s hiding that list, and he’s the most unknown of the top contenders. Dude needs money. He doesn’t have a Senate account to pull dough from.
Also would be good to know what candidates took money from state level lobbyists, which the article does not go into specifics on.pic.twitter.com/mKRwcWBfiX
I think it’s good that candidates are stopping this to some extent (state lobbyists have donated to all of them) and should set an example so that it changes, but until that happens, seems a bit dishonest for @jonfavs to say Obama was holier than thou.
The guy joined the race with ZERO name recognition. He’s up against HUGE names. His following grows every day bc he’s smart, thoughtful, direct, likable, on top of being a veteran. But sure, join the firing squad.
You misspelled "valid criticism."
They do need it, Jon, and you're naive if you think they don't need it. Turns out having real grassroots support is important if you want to be funded entirely by the people, and you need more than a media push paid for by the DNC!
It appears this reply was liked by Buttigieg supporters, who couldn't have missed my point harder lol #FeelTheBern2020
