Virgin still wants to run open access services, but they certainly won’t be ready from December and there’s a good chance they won’t be allowed at all. also the Virgin Trains brand lives on in the US where it was recently adopted for Brightline services

Does this also mean Trenitalia is now the HS2 operator also? Or will those services be carved up between different TOC’s?
