CORRECTION: I obviously meant to write *morale* in the White House. But then again, maybe the WH staffer actually said "morals," lol. I'll have to check my notes.

What gets me is, it seems tweets with typos always get the most RTs. SMH!

let's face it - Twitter is the sadistic older sister to Facebook. She enjoys torturing us all with those lifelong blights to our feed. Especially if you had an English Teacher from the Midwest.....then you are screwed! Just keep staring at the typo and mumbling..DAMN IT!!!

They should put a spell check editor, just for typos.

If they are trying to preserve our mistakes for posterity, then an editing trail is a great idea. If they would prefer that we delete and retweet with corrections, that sort of defeats the purpose of them hypothetically wanting a record of what you originally said.

an edit button might also have the effect of allowing trump to alter his own tweets.

I agree! Sometimes, I rather like what I have written but hurry and delete the tweet, because I hate sending them w/errors. After it is deleted, I try to recreate from memory, but it is never the same. Too many of my tweets, w/errors, somehow slip through. It is a conspiracy!

Twitter can. They choose not to. I think the rationale is that no one should be able to "correct" someone else's tweet after it's been published. I can understand that
