Thx. Looking for UI ideas, not semantics. So I should include your Hopscotch

Eve’s been through dozens of UIs. The blog has screenshots of many http://incidentalcomplexity.com/archive/  http://incidentalcomplexity.com/2014/10/16/retrospective/ …

No slight intended - just cobbling this together. Which version of the Eve UI was your favorite?

        MVC with wires. Uncontrolled side-effects.pic.twitter.com/eX52ZsE09v

It's not MVC though it might look like it. Individual components are decoupled, don't know of each other & are reusable without interaction.

How do you control the order of message sends?

It wasn't easy. See pages 11-14 of http://melconway.com/Working/WP_9.pdf … I'll clarify if necessary.

Do you handle "glitches" - when message paths fork and then rejoin? Must wait for all possible inputs to be deterministic

1/2 No rejoins. Sinks have only one wire going to them. OTOH some redundant calculation might occur (see page 13) but it's deterministic.

2/2 However, all messages are synchronous, so it's a local solution. Feel free to use the email address in the footer of the working papers
