I’ve asked many times of many people and have never heard any sort of explanation. Can you imagine any rationale by which Jared Kushner, a Jewish man who sends his kids to Jewish day school, would serve a president who hires and explicitly praises antisemites?

Kushner worked alongside Steve Bannon (as did other Jewish men). He served Trump as Trump called the antisemitic people in Charlottesville “very fine people.” He served the White House that refused to mention Jewish people in its Holocaust Remembrance Day statement.

This is one of the most counterintuitive parts of this entire regime to me, as surreal as most of the rest of it has been. Why are Jewish people working alongside antisemites, white supremacists & other hatemongers who are trying to re-codify discrimination?
