Key difference: Republican leaders need no Democrats to win passage in the House. If the deal goes down because of Republican defections, it's on them. Blaming the Dems would be spin.https://twitter.com/rebeccagberg/status/961837504511950849 …

I 100% agree with this analysis but the "my lady" quip is gross and creepy and beneath you
-
You didn’t read what he responded to?
-
'my dude' and 'my lady' are not the same. Anyway it's very possible to tear apart her trash analysis without resorting to sexism (you've been doing a good job, for example)
-
They aren’t. My dude is much worse.
-
One is condescending, the other sexist...but the more important point is that this is squarely on the House GOP's shoulders
-
How is that sexist? The equivalent of "my lady" is "my lord". Both are addresses of respect. "My dude" I've never heard before, but it seems more like "my lackey" or something.
-
Funny to see how you’re all like vinyl records vs streaming music on Rebecca’s “my dude” comment. Rebecca good “my dude” usage. Stay connected to today’s generation even if the last 3 gens can’t keep up. Now we just need to get these types out of DC & really get things “poppin”.

I have an 18-year-old and a 15-year-old daughter. I'm called "my dude" pretty much every day of my life.

Seems like a lot of people will blame Trump since he said he wanted one.

Ryan, Schumer, McConnell on one side of the deal. Pelosi on the other. No, you’re right. It’ll be all the GOP’s fault.
