Boehner insisted on a bill the majority of his caucus would support. Applying the Hastert "rule" is the kiss of death for any bipartisan immigration effort.

It’s 2018. Facts don’t have any role in shaping public opinion.

That's only true for about 35% of the voting population. Facts DO matter for the majority of us.

But when only 50% of eligible voters show up on voting day, that energized 35% becomes highly relevant.

The Dems and progressives are working to try and change that.
